COVID-19 PRACTICE
Crookston House & Estate, Heriot

Crookston House & Estate Deer

During this time of uncertainty, the safety and comfort of our guests is of paramount importance to us.
To give you peace of mind, we have detailed our working practices that we have employed to make sure you have a relaxed and enjoyable stay.

Arrival
We will be taking everyone's temperature on arrival. This is a necessary precaution for the benefit of all our guests and helps to add peace of mind to everyone staying with us.  We will also ensure that we have all your contact details and onward travel plans so we can track and trace if necessary.
MasksIt is mandatory for facemasks to be worn in any public areas of Crookston. We therefore ask our guests to ensure they have one with them when arriving .  Face masks are not required in the dining room for either breakfast or evening meals.

Cleaning Regime
Our cleaning regime will be even more stringent than it already is. We will be not just cleaning but sanitising any items and surfaces in the rooms as far as is practicable. In order to minimise the risk of cross contamination we will be removing certain non-essential items from the rooms including magazines, cushions and any other items that are difficult to keep germ free.

Breakfast
In order to meet current government recommendations with social distancing we can only allow 2 rooms in the dining room at any one time.  Each room will occupy a separate table and each table will have everything required as there will be no buffet area.  There will be two breakfast sittings at 8.15am and 09.00am.

Guests will be asked to record their preferred time when the breakfast order is taken the evening before. Slots will be on a first come, first served basis.  Guests choosing to eat at 8.15 will need to leave their table by 08.55 in order to allow us the time to strip, sanitise and set the table for the next sitting. There will also be an alternative lighter breakfast menu for any guests wishing to eat in their room.
Evening Meals

Pubs and restaurants are not operating at full capacity and some guests would rather not eat out, we are therefore offering two options, evening meals or a DIY picnic supper and we can provide plates, cutlery and glasses.

General Information
During your stay we will observe social distancing as far as is practicable while still being available for any help or advice throughout your stay. If you need help with anything at all please do not hesitate to contact us either from your room or just come and knock on our door and we will do our very best to help, within the restrictions.

Departure
In order to air and clean the rooms for the next occupants we are asking everyone to be out of their rooms by 9.30am and would ask that all windows are opened in the rooms before departure, whatever the weather!
